Think With Your Senses, Feel With Your Mind
A high school/elementary school mentoring project generously funded by VSA Arts
Our 2009 projects include three major, permanent sculptures at Hammond's House Museum, M. Agnes Jones Elementary School (MAJ), and South Atlanta School of Computer Design, as well as a temporary site-specific work at MAJ (click HERE for the Dirt=Time Project). We are also piloting a special visual-performing arts project at Carver School of the Arts. Below are a photos from our VSA Arts experiences this year, including a selection of preliminary designs for sculpture projects. Teaching artists Marquetta Johnson and Jeff Mather worked with students at these schools.
Below you will also see photos from our trip to the Sculpture in Motion exhibit at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the High Museum of Art.
