Little Kids Rock

Erik Herndon, Lead Teacher

Picture
LITTLE KIDS ROCK IS... a national nonprofit that transforms children's lives by restoring and revitalizing music education in disadvantaged public schools.

WE DO THIS BY... partnering with school districts, training public school teachers in our innovative curriculum, and donating all of the instruments and resources necessary to run rockin’ music programs.

WE DO THIS BECAUSE... playing music is more than just ‘fun’ for kids - it is transformational and vital. Yet budget cuts have forced many school music programs to close, especially in schools serving low-income communities.

Little Kids Rock currently serves more than 100,000 kids coast to coast.

Kids who play an instrument are 52% more likely to go to college? (The American Music Conference)

Little Kids Rock is partnered with Atlanta Public Schools and has programs in:

Frank L. Stanton Elementary School

Bunche Middle School

Parkside Elementary School

Jean Childs Young Middle School
