Art Classroom of the Month: Phil Alexander-Cox/E. Rivers Elementary
We all know how important the physical organization of a classroom is to establishing a context of open inquiry. When I visited Phil Alexander-Cox's art room at E. Rivers Elementary, I found every child deeply engaged in meaningful art making, parent volunteers each of whom had a specific job to do, and a wonderfully organized jumble of color, materials, and vocabulary that set the tone for a creative culture. Take a visual journey through Phil Alexander-Cox's art room--pictures do speak louder than words!
